Washing & Care Instructions
Caring for your FabRap furoshiki cloth is easy, and with proper maintenance, you can keep it looking beautiful and functional for a long time. Here are some care instructions and tips to ensure your FabRap furoshiki stays in great condition:
- Regular Maintenance: Shake or gently brush off any loose dirt or debris from the fabric's surface. This will help prevent particles from embedding themselves in the fabric.
- Spot Cleaning: If your FabRap Furoshiki has a minor stain or spill, it's best to address it promptly. Use a mild detergent or stain remover and a soft cloth or sponge to gently blot the stained area. Avoid rubbing, as this may damage the fabric.
- Washing Instructions: Hand washing in cold water is best however FabRap furoshiki can be machine washed, for more instructions check the back of your FabRap packaging. We recommend using a cold wash, but if there are some stubborn stains you can also use a 30 degree cycle as well.
- Ironing: If your FabRap furoshiki becomes wrinkled, you can iron it to restore its smooth appearance. Use a low to medium heat setting and place a thin cotton cloth or another piece of fabric between the furoshiki and the iron to prevent direct contact.
- Storage: When not in use, store your FabRap furoshiki in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as it can cause colours to fade over time. To prevent creases and wrinkles, you can fold your furoshiki neatly and place it back inside the recycled paper envelope that comes with the purchase, or roll it around a cardboard tube.
- Repurposing: Remember that FabRap furoshiki are not just for gift wrapping. You can use them in various ways, such as a scarf, tablecloth, or wall hanging.
